Position Overview:

In this role you will utilize a variety of hand and power tools to perform advanced assembly operations on complex assemblies ensuring adherence to quality and quantity standards. Additionally you will play a vital role in training employees on both basic and complex assembly techniques. Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute assembly tasks independently in alignment with Standard Work outlines.

  • Prioritize safety by utilizing personal protective equipment and adhering to safety protocols.

  • Conduct inspections and perform dimension checks using calibrated precision measuring instruments to ensure assembled outputs meet AQL standards.

  • Actively participate in Lean activities and training utilizing Lean tools such as SQDCC Hour by Hour Charts and 5S to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Communicate effectively with the Team Leader regarding any issues related to materials parts or operations that may impact production quality or quantity and take appropriate actions to resolve these issues.

  • Perform routine maintenance and operational checks on departmental tools and equipment ensuring they are in good working condition.

  • Manage the segregation and disposal of scrap and recycled materials in compliance with approved collection procedures.

  • Engage in physical tasks including lifting/moving up to 50 lbs and various postures such as standing walking bending and climbing.

  • Receive daily guidance and support from the Team Leader/Supervisor.

  • Complete additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to read and write is essential for following instructions and completing paperwork.

  • Preferred: One year of experience in performing complex assembly operations.
