Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Location: Various Clinics in San Diego County including: San Diego Chula Vista CA Alpine Julian

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday 8am-4:30pm (5 day work week)

Duration: Temporary until March 2025

Pay: $34 – $43 per hour DOE

Join the team as a Radiologic Technologist where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging across four clinics in the San Diego and Chula Vista area. In this role you will perform radiographic procedures that aid in diagnosing diseases and injuries while ensuring exceptional patient care that aligns with our Company Core Values. You will operate advanced x-ray equipment to produce clear and accurate images.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set voltage current exposure time and distance based on provider orders.

  • Collaborate with Care Team personnel to ensure timely and high-quality imaging services.

  • Review and evaluate computer-generated information to confirm the diagnostic quality of images.

  • Explain procedures to patients and monitor their comfort and safety during scans.

  • Utilize strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to capture accurate views of specified areas.

  • Identify issues and provide recommendations to the Technical Supervisor and Clinic Services Manager.

  • Interpret statutes rules and regulations regarding radiation safety as necessary.

  • Maintain accurate records related to the licensing and registration of radiation-producing equipment.

  • Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance for imaging equipment.

  • Ensure complete and accurate medical records for continuity of patient care.

  • Contribute to the standardization of imaging service policies and procedures.

  • Assist in dressing or changing seriously ill injured or disabled patients.

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Uphold departmental policies objectives quality assurance programs and safety standards.

  • Stay informed about current state and federal radiation control laws and regulations.

  • Enhance professional development through educational programs literature in-service meetings and workshops.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:

 

Education:

  • Required: California Radiology Technologist – Radiography (CRT-R)

 

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Required:

    • American Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification

    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification

 

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum 6 months as a Radiologic Technologist in an outpatient setting

  • Preferred: 2 years as a Radiologic Technologist

 

Skills:

  • Effective oral and written communication

  • Proficient use of medical terminology

 

Equipment Used:

  • Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Radiography (CR)

  • X-ray equipment

  • Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)

  • Radiology Information System (RIS)

  • Electronic Health Record (EHR)
